Richland Royals Claim District Crown with 8-2 Win Over Birdville

The Richland Royals entered their Tuesday night district matchup against the Birdville Hawks with an impressive 26-2 record. The Royals' offense proved too much to handle, building a 4-0 lead by the top of the fifth inning thanks to key infield hits by Aly Flores and Mia Berain. Birdville fought back in the bottom of the fifth when Avery Rodriguez drove in two runs with a hit down the line, cutting the deficit to 4-2. However, Richland sealed the game in the top of the seventh, scoring four additional runs highlighted by an RBI double from Maty Quick. The Royals secured an 8-2 victory, officially claiming the district crown.
