March 25, 2026
Fifth-Inning Blast Bounces Off Glove and Over Fence
Olivia McCarrick's three-run home run in the fifth inning proved to be the decisive blow as Southlake Carroll defeated Keller Central 4-2. The blast, which bounced off a fielder's glove and over the fence, broke open a tie game.
Keller Central pitcher Heidi White kept the Dragons scoreless through three innings with a sharp changeup. The Chargers grabbed a 1-0 lead in the fourth on Tess Wilkerson's RBI single before Southlake Carroll answered to tie. McCarrick's clutch swing in the fifth gave the Dragons the lead they would not relinquish.
