Nationally Ranked Melissa Softball Crushes Walnut Grove 13-5
March 31, 2026
Four Home Runs Including Grand Slam Power 19-2 Cardinals
Four home runs. Seven runs in the third inning. Nationally ranked Melissa flexed its offensive muscle in a 13-5 victory over Walnut Grove. Auburn commit Shug Bradford opened the scoring with a deep centerfield blast, then Oklahoma commit Finlee Williams hit her 11th homer of the year during the big inning.
Freshman Ana Gonzales added a key two-run single. Walnut Grove's Zelda Bobbitt made a spectacular diving catch at first, but Melissa's power proved overwhelming. The 19-2 Cardinals remain a dominant force in DFW softball.
