Nine runs. One inning. Frisco Wakeland's third-inning explosion powered a 13-0 shutout of The Colony on Parent Appreciation night. Kayla Courcy started the rally with a deep drive scoring Maggie Drake, then Reese Thomas and Rachel Rowland kept it rolling with RBI hits.
The Wolverines batted around the order before Drake capped the frame with an opposite-field RBI. Combined with solid pitching, it was a memorable night for Wakeland.
