Forney Softball Wins 16th Straight, Blanks Rowlett 10-0 in Bi-District

May 6, 2026
Forney softball blanks Rowlett 10-0 to advance in bi-district play, extending their winning streak to 16 straight games.

Sixteen straight wins. That's where Forney softball stands after a dominant 10-0 run-rule victory over Rowlett in the first round of the playoffs, a result that reinforced the Jackrabbits' standing as the top 6A program in the DFW area.

The offense broke open early. In the bottom of the third, Sophia Heredia lined one to the wall in left-center, scoring Carlee Rabal to put Forney on the board. The Jackrabbits led 2-0 heading into the fourth — and then the game got away from Rowlett in a hurry.

Rabal rolled one through the left side to score Kambree Wilson, and Landrie Thomas followed her across to make it 4-0. Later in the same inning, Heredia dropped a pop-up behind second between three defenders, scoring Rabal and Juliana Tamburine. Forney sent seven runs across in the fourth to lead 9-0.

Emmie Santos handled business in the circle throughout, closing out the fifth with a strikeout as part of a complete-game shutout effort. The final was 10-0, and the Jackrabbits advance to the next round riding one of the longest active winning streaks in the DFW area.
