The second round of the playoffs brought Denton Guyer to Richardson, where the Wildcats wasted no time dismantling JJ Pearce in dominant fashion.
Guyer struck for three runs in the opening frame, sparked by Cali Parham's RBI single up the middle that plated Madison Joyner. The Wildcats kept the pressure on in the second inning when Joyner flipped the script, delivering a two-run triple that skipped past the right fielder and extended the lead to 5-0.
O.G. Green followed with a towering home run to centerfield, capping an eight-run outburst through two innings. Notre Dame commit Finley Montgomery handled the rest from the circle, shutting down JJ Pearce as Guyer cruised to a 16-0 victory and a spot in the next round.
