Rockwall Holds Off Keller Behind Hudson Holt's Strong Outing on the Mound

June 3, 2026
Rockwall held off a late Keller rally, with Hudson Holt dealing on the mound and Brent Celis delivering a key hit to seal the win.

Thirteen wins in fourteen tries is the kind of stretch that earns a team respect heading into any matchup. But Rockwall, playing loose and unburdened by expectations, had other ideas.

Rockwall struck first in the second inning when a throw got away at second base, allowing Cailan Zollicoffer to come in from third. Brock Shouse added to the lead a couple batters later, fighting off a pitch and dropping it into center field to score Reid Overstreet and push the advantage to 3-0.

Keller clawed back in the fifth, capitalizing on a wild pickoff throw at third. Cole Koeninger scored on the miscue, and Brock Burkett followed him in to bring Keller within one and give the game a new look.

Rockwall answered quickly. Brent Celis lined one back up the box, and Isaac Oviedo came around to score, pushing the lead back to three and taking the momentum back for good.

The story on the mound was University of Texas commit Hudson Holt, who was sharp throughout for Rockwall. He closed out the sixth inning with a strikeout, capping a performance that gave Rockwall's defense all the support it needed to hold off one of the hotter teams in the area.
