Lake Highlands super-sophomore TRE JOHNSON led his Wildcats against undefeated Plano.
After a low-scoring first quarter, the points started coming in the 2nd. Great passing here led to an easy bucket by ROBERT HALL.
A little later, good drive and dish by MAKHI DORSEY to JUSTIN MC-BRIDE for the dunk. Plano took a 5-point lead in the 2nd.
TRE JOHNSON scored 10 points in the 2nd quarter and kept it going into the third. This basket gave Lake Highlands a 9-point lead (34-25).
Now in the 4th, the 5-star sophomore drove to the basket and scored *high* off the glass. The Wildcats led by 12 with just 2 1/2 minutes to go, and it looked like it was over.
But Plano's JUSTIN MC-BRIDE went off -- he hit a contested three from the corner, got a steal and a layup, and then he would hit another three. He did all this in a span of half a minute to make it a 2-point game with 40 seconds left.
A few seconds later, freshman BJ DAVIS got a big steal, and KYLE MORAN would finish to put this out of reach, and Lake Highlands pulls off the huge win, 58-56 over previously undefeated Plano.
