Allen Ties Series With Flower Mound on Walk-Off Hit in Game 2

Allen rallied in the sixth inning to beat Flower Mound 4-3 in Game 2, tying their playoff series at one game apiece.

Down to their final three outs and trailing by a run, Allen found the clutch hitting it needed to force a decisive third game in its playoff series against Flower Mound.

The Eagles erased a 3-2 deficit in the bottom of the sixth inning with a pair of two-out RBI singles to claim a 4-3 victory in Game 2 at Allen. Flower Mound had entered the contest up 1-0 in the series and looking to close things out.

Allen struck first when Chandler Hart, last week's bobblehead winner, drove a high chopper over the second baseman's head in the first inning, plating two runs for an early 2-0 lead.

Flower Mound answered in the top of the third. Cooper Skinner singled through the right side to score a run, then Jake Mayor delivered the big blow with two outs and two runners on base. His hit dropped over the right fielder's head and rolled to the wall, scoring Beckett Williams and Connor Jennings to give the Jaguars a 3-2 advantage.

With UT commit Cooper Harris on the mound, Flower Mound had reason for confidence. The ace received solid defensive support, including a leaping catch at second base by Jackson Sortor. The score remained 3-2 into the sixth.

In the bottom of the sixth with two outs, Ryan Blessing singled up the middle into center field. The throw home arrived with time to spare but was slightly off line, and Mason Polk knocked the ball loose on his slide to tie the game at 3-3. The next batter, Carson O'Neill, came through with another clutch two-out hit to score Hart with what proved to be the winning run.

The series is now tied at one game apiece heading to a winner-take-all Game 3.
