An offensive explosion took place Friday night at The Star when Colleyville Heritage took on Frisco Emerson.
Heritage cracks the scoreboard first when Siona Vailahi (vey-ah-leh-he) takes the handoff and just FIGHTS his way in for the score, whata tough run.
Emerson QB and Oklahoma commit Mike Hawkins answers with a tough run of his own as he bounces to his left and dives for the pylon, we're off and running.
Heritage goes to the air here when Luke Ullrich throws a beauty to a crossing Hayden Golden and this play turned out golden as he breaks a few tackles and he's gone, 48 yards for the score, back and forth we go.
Hawkins then goes to the air, he steps up and finds Kameron Lockhart who makes a juggling catch and gets his feet in, GREAT concentration there, Emerson up 21-20 at halftime.
2nd half now, and one of the best runs you'll ever see, Ullrich calls his own number, bounces out to the left, stiff arms one guy, and then LEAPS over another!!! Are you kidding me!!! Ullrich rushed for 169 yards and 2 scores.
But Emerson would pull away late, here it's Hawkins again stepping up and hits Kyle Evans for the touchdown, Evans finished with 8 grabs for 196 and 2 scores.
Emerson gets the win over Colleyville Heritage by the final of 59-48 and now Emerson advances to the state semi-fiinals.
