Great matchup in district 5-6A, with Prosper hosting Denton Guyer. And it was a great game too. 4th quarter, Guyer down by 10, and it took 4 plays for the Wildcats to go 2 yards, but they finally pushed it across on 4th down to make it 17-14.
Guyer tied it with a field goal, but Prosper came back with a 12-play drive -- capped off by this Jackson Berry touchdown. But Prosper *missed* the extra point and led by only 6. The Wildcats had a 4th down and 3 with just over a minute and a half to go ... quarterback Eli Stowers throws to Dylan Rivero for the first down. Guyer was driving but time was not on their side. Now with only 2 seconds left .... last offensive play of the game ... and Stowers calls his own number and plows into the end zone to tie the game at 23. Guyer needed the extra point .... no problem for Michael Mayfield, as he kicks it through to give the Wildcats the win, 24-23 over Prosper.
