Allen signal caller Mike Hawkins knew he needed to have a big game in order to avoid back to back loses.
Pick things up with Allen ahead, Cedar Hill quarterback Cedric Harden gets flushed out of the pocket, steps up and throws a bomb downfield and Jairrus Nicholson steps in front of the defender and makes the grab for the huge gain.
A few plays later and the Longhorns cash in, Harden fakes the handoff and goes right up the gut and in for the score, Cedar Hill down 5.Then the Eagles put a drive together, first its Hawkins to Jordyn Tyson on the deep IN route which puts them close to mid field.Then Hawkins gives to Jaylen Jenkins and watch the nifty running here, shedding tacklers, following his blocking, he beats everyone to the house for the 56 yard TD scamper and the Allen student section likes that!!
And then for good measure its Jenkins one more time to ice this one, he gets in from a yard out for his 3rd and final TD for the night, and Allen with a nice bounce back win over a game Cedar Hill squad 35-16.
