Waxahachie Extends Winning Streak to 22 with 11-3 Victory Over Mesquite Horn

The Waxahachie Indians continued their dominant softball season by securing their 22nd consecutive victory with an 11-3 win over the Mesquite Horn Jaguars. Mesquite Horn struck first in the third inning when Aliyah Ashford scored on a shallow fly ball by Alyssa Beccera. However, Waxahachie quickly answered back with a game-tying RBI triple from Jordan Young. The Indians extended their lead in the fifth inning with an RBI single from Nalee Nichols. Freshman pitcher Maci Barnes delivered a strong performance on the mound to help close out the game. Additionally, fans are keeping a close watch on Waxahachie sophomore Michaela Landers, who currently has 20 home runs and is threatening to break the Dallas-Fort Worth area home run record.
