Round Rock Defeats Keller 3-1 in Girls Soccer State Final

The Keller Indians girls soccer team returned to the state final for the first time in nearly a decade to face off against Round Rock. Keller started strong, taking an early 1-0 lead just nine minutes into the match when Claire Garritson found Giulianna LaPuma, who blasted the ball into the net. However, Round Rock quickly responded. At the 19-minute mark, Audrey Redus set up Grace El-Deir for the equalizer. Just before halftime, Round Rock took a 2-1 lead after Aidan Hernandez converted a penalty kick. In the second half, Hernandez struck again off a pass from Carlee Degan, sealing a 3-1 victory for Round Rock and ending Keller's impressive championship run.
