Lone Star's Karece Hoyt Does It All — Now Headed to Baylor

Few high school coaches get to say their best player can line up almost anywhere on the field. At Lone Star, head coach Jeff Rayburn can say exactly that about Karece Hoyt.

Hoyt carried the ball for nearly 900 yards and 22 rushing touchdowns out of the backfield, adding 26 receptions for 3 more scores as a receiver. On the other side of the ball, he recorded 5 interceptions playing safety. Over the course of his Ranger career, Hoyt also saw time at quarterback, linebacker, and wide receiver — a résumé that speaks to both his athleticism and his football IQ.

Hoyt has committed to continue his career at Baylor, where the Bears will inherit one of the more complete players to come out of the DFW area in recent memory.
