Seventy-two tackles, 26 tackles for loss, and 8 sacks in a single season is a résumé that turns heads at any level of high school football. For Denton Guyer edge rusher Zane Rowe, those numbers are a floor, not a ceiling.
Rowe, one of the more versatile pass rushers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, has made it clear he intends to significantly improve on his sack total from a year ago. His combination of length and athleticism gives Guyer's defense a disruptive presence off the edge that opposing offensive coordinators have to account for on every snap.
The two-way threat doesn't stop on defense. Rowe also sees time at tight end, where his size and physicality make him a matchup problem in the red zone. That dual-role value is a rare asset for a Guyer program that consistently competes at the top of Class 6A in the Dallas area.
Rowe has committed to Oregon, bringing his skill set to the Pac-12 level after what figures to be a standout senior campaign for the Wildcats.
