The Wylie East girls soccer team traveled to Waco on Thursday for a highly anticipated regional semifinal matchup against Tomball. The Raiders set the tone early in the first half when Seyi Ajakaiye delivered a perfect pass to Sophie Preston, who fired a left-footed shot into the high right corner to give Wylie East a 1-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, the Raiders extended their advantage after a nice pass from Nicki Coleman found Brooklyn Reiter, who buried the ball in the top shelf. With this impressive 2-0 shutout victory, Wylie East officially punches their ticket to the regional final.
