Parish Episcopal QB Logan Lucero: Freshman Phenom With a Championship Ring

Six TAPPS state titles since 2019 is the kind of run that turns a program into a dynasty, and Parish Episcopal has done exactly that. The Panthers added another championship to that collection in 2025—this time with a freshman under center.

Logan Lucero, a 6'2", 215-pound quarterback, stepped into the starting role under enormous scrutiny. He was tasked with replacing Sawyer Anderson, a four-year all-American who signed with Arizona, and doing so for one of the most decorated private school programs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Lucero answered every question. He threw for nearly 2,500 yards, posted 27 touchdowns against just 3 interceptions, and helped deliver a state title—numbers that would be impressive for a seasoned starter, let alone a first-year player.

The performance wasn't just statistical. Lucero brought the kind of composure and leadership that typically takes years to develop, quieting any doubt about whether the Panthers could sustain their championship standard after Anderson's departure. He has already carved out his own identity in the Parish Episcopal record book.

The recruiting world has taken notice. Lucero holds more than 20 offers from Power 4 programs, and he won't graduate until 2029. For a program that has made winning titles a habit, the arrival of Logan Lucero may be the most significant development yet.
