McKinney Christian capped off an incredible season by defeating Westbury Christian to win the Class 4A state championship. Entering the game with a 38-1 record, the Mustangs started fast with Leo Jiminez Soto scoring 10 points in the first quarter. Although the game was tight at halftime with McKinney Christian leading 24-23, their defense clamped down in the second half, allowing only eight points. Diego Landin Aguilar led the offense with 20 points, helping the Mustangs pull away for a decisive 49-31 victory and the state title.
