Lady Tigers Hand Undefeated Westlake First Loss of Season

Lancaster handed previously undefeated Austin Westlake their first loss of the season with a dominant 51-37 victory in the 6A Division 2 state final. The Lady Tigers had lost to Westlake in double overtime earlier in the season but controlled this rematch from start to finish.

Coach LaJeana Howard's squad took a 31-18 halftime lead behind Makenzie White's game-high 14 points. Ava Womack and Monique Phoenix added key contributions as Lancaster secured its first-ever girls state basketball championship.
