Lone Star was looking to cut down on their 9 TURNOVERS they committed in their first two games.
But first half, they needed to get their arms around Reedy running back, Triston Airy, who breaks free for a 67 yard touchdown. 121 of Airy's 128 rushing yards came in the first half as the Lions led 17-9 at the break.
2nd half, Lone Star goes to Super Sophomore Davian Groce (Gross), who ran for 187 yards on the night and this 37 yard touchdown that put the Rangers ahead 20-17.
But Reedy would be down 29-24 with a minute and a half left at their own 10...but here they come....Braden Hernandez with the 43 yard completion to Connor McGrath and in 30 seconds, the Lions are suddenly at the Lone Star 7.
Hernandez rolls out and throws a jump ball that McGrath comes down with. Reedy has completed the comeback to take a 32-29 lead with 50 seconds left. But did they leave too much time on the clock?
Lone Star's last chance. 7 seconds left at the Reedy 42. Colin Blackstock rolls out of trouble and finds Winston Pollard in stride....it's a WALK OFF TOUCHDOWN. What a game and what a way to start off district play. Lone Star wins it 35-32.
