The Prosper Walnut Grove Wildcats took on the Frisco Heritage Coyotes in a Class 5A second-round playoff game held at Plano West High School. Frisco Heritage started strong with Jadyn Middleton hitting early three-pointers on her way to 18 points. Walnut Grove answered back with a three from Jayla Sykes and a stellar performance from Oklahoma commit Finley Chastain. Chastain finished with a game-high 24 points to help the Wildcats pull away in the second half. Prosper Walnut Grove secured the 45-38 win and advances to the third round to face Red Oak.
