Carter Zingelman & Ty Snell: DFW's Top Rising QB Prospects for 2026

June 11, 2026
Carter Zingelman of Coppell and Ty Snell of Allen are two of DFW's fastest-rising QB prospects heading into the 2026 season.

The Dallas-Fort Worth area has long been a pipeline for elite quarterback talent, and two names are rising fast as summer camps kick off ahead of the 2026 season: Carter Zingelman of Coppell and Ty Snell of Allen.

Zingelman, a 2028 prospect, and Snell, a 2029 prospect, both competed at The Opening tryouts in Dallas, where they went up against some of the top prep talent in the nation. Each showed advanced arm strength, athleticism, and composure under pressure — qualities that have accelerated their climbs in national recruiting rankings.

For Zingelman, the focus this fall is on helping Coppell make a deep postseason run. The Cowboys compete in District 7-6A, and the path through the bracket sets up as a genuine opportunity for a strong playoff push. Zingelman's development as a blue-chip prospect adds another layer of intrigue to Coppell's 2026 outlook.

Snell's situation at Allen carries its own weight. The Eagles are one of Texas's most decorated 6A programs, and Snell — a transfer who has taken over the starting role as a sophomore — has quickly given the Allen faithful reason to believe the program can return to championship-level form. That kind of expectation doesn't typically fall on a second-year player, but Snell has handled it with the poise of someone well beyond his class year.

With both quarterbacks already drawing national attention before their respective graduation years, the Metroplex's reputation as a quarterback factory shows no signs of slowing down.
