Azle fans are not only seeing double....they're seeing quadruple as the Hornets have 4 sets of twins
Each year, just like every other high school football coach, Azle’s Devin Dorris has a new crop of players to learn the names of. But unlike most of those coaches, Dorris has a unique challenge with this year’s Hornets squad. You see, Coach Dorris has 4 sets of twins on his varsity team. Devin Dorris bite :35 “We haven’t had 4 sets of twins in any way shape or form ever, but to have 4 sets of twins on one varsity team is quite remarkable. It took me 2 years to get the names right on 3 of the sets of twins, but one set are my nephews, so I was all right there.” His nephews, Dillon and Dalton Dorris, are identical twins who play on different sides of the ball. As do identical twins Bradyn and Bryan Rager and Cash Moore and his brother, Case, who was out with appendicitis on the day of this shoot. Austin and Adam May are fraternal twins who both play offense. And with Austin being the starting quarterback and Adam being his right tackle, there’s added pressure for Adam to protect his “former womb-mate” (or just go with twin if you think it sounds corny) Off the field, the twins will sometimes try to pull off the usual twin hijinx …but when it comes to on the field, each set of twin is the others greatest supporter. As the Hornets attempt to turn around a slow start, the quadruple set of twins hope their play on the field will lead to some victories. But if not…..they at least want to have their coaches tell them apart Subscribe to DFW Inside High School Sports to stay up to date on everything high school sports related in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex!
