For a head coach, year 3 at a program is traditionally when everything is supposed to come together. And for Forney Head Man, Jeff Fleener, that’s exactly what is happening this year. The Jackrabbits are 7-1 and thanks to a hard hitting defense that only gives up less then 10 points a game, Forney is honing in on a home playoff game.
Their play on the field has garnished the Jackrabbits well deserved recognition locally, but Forney is also well known nationally thanks to the man they call “Coach Tik Tok”
Adam Wardlaw is the outside linebackers coach for the Jackrabbits, but outside of Forney he’s simply known as Coach Tik Tok. And all started from Wardlaw answering his wife’s simple question….How was your day?
Now his tik tok series…A Day In the Life Of a Texas High School Football Coach….has almost 206 thousand followers and over 5 million likes. Wardlaw, a South Carolina native, credits a lot of the attention to the fact football fans from across the country gravitate to Texas High School Football
The success of his Tik Tok account should help Coach Wardlaw get his house paid off a lot sooner than expected. But with the fame, comes the ribbing from his fellow coaches and players as they wouldn’t mind having a piece of the pie as well
