Texas Longhorns Commit Madi Doty Chases Back-to-Back 3A State Titles for Grandview
A town of roughly 2,000 residents located 45 minutes south of Fort Worth, Grandview is traditionally known for its farming and ranching roots. Over the past four years, however, the community has rallied around a generational talent in the softball circle.
Armed with a 0.22 ERA and nearing the 1,000-strikeout milestone for her career, senior pitcher Madi Doty has transformed the Lady Zebras into a Class 3A powerhouse. After guiding Grandview to its first-ever state championship last season, the dual-threat standout is determined to secure a repeat title. Doty's dominance isn't limited to the mound; she is currently batting .520 with 14 home runs, making her one of the most feared two-way players in Texas high school softball.
The overwhelming local support, complete with community send-offs and packed stands, has fueled her historic run. Following her final high school playoff push, Doty will travel 150 miles south to continue her career with the Texas Longhorns, bringing her elite command and competitive mindset to the collegiate level.
