Spirit Stangs Cheer Team: Inclusion and Joy on the Sidelines

The Spirit Stangs at Pearce High School have grown from 12 members to a thriving squad that combines students with and without disabilities on the same team.

This unique cheer program creates an inclusive environment where every student has a place to belong. The philosophy extends beyond performing, emphasizing personal growth and empowerment for all participants.

Team members have gone on to pursue careers in special education and leadership roles, demonstrating how sports and team activities can serve as powerful platforms for inclusion and development.
