In a Thursday morning high school softball showdown, the Southlake Carroll Dragons hosted the Keller Central Chargers. Central pitcher Heidi White dominated early, utilizing a sharp changeup to keep the Dragons scoreless through the first three innings. The Chargers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth on an RBI single by Tess Wilkerson. However, Southlake Carroll responded quickly to tie the game in the bottom of the frame. The turning point came in the fifth inning when Olivia McCarrick hit a dramatic three-run home run that bounced off a fielder's glove and over the fence.
