Frisco Heritage made history on Saturday, becoming the first Frisco ISD boys basketball team to win a state championship. Facing Beaumont West Brook in the 5A Division 1 state final, the Coyotes secured a 60-47 victory behind stellar performances from their stars. Bryson Howard, son of Josh Howard, dominated with a double-double, recording 28 points and 15 rebounds. SMU recruit Cam Lomax contributed 17 points and 5 steals, including a spectacular alley-oop assist to Howard. The Coyotes built a commanding 30-13 halftime lead and held off West Brook to claim the trophy.
