DFW Girls Basketball Triumphs: State Championship Highlights

In an unforgettable display of talent and determination, North Texas girls basketball teams captured the spotlight at the state championships in San Antonio. Boswell High School clinched their first state title with a stellar defensive performance, overcoming Fort Bend Hightower 51-42. Celeste Massey shined with an MVP-worthy 16 points. Elsewhere, Ryan High School upset the top-ranked San Antonio Wagner with a standout 24 points and 8 rebounds from Kaitlyn Jackson, securing a 58-47 win. Dallas Lincoln dismantled Cuero 60-32, marking their fourth state championship and ending a 16-year drought for Dallas ISD. Finally, in a surprising victory, Decatur dominated Waco La Vega 53-41, leading from start to finish to earn their first state championship. These victories not only celebrated individual and team achievements but also brought pride to Fort Worth and Dallas communities.
