The Celina Bobcats are one step closer to securing their fifth consecutive state title after a decisive 4-1 victory over the Life Waxahachie Lady Mustangs in the state semifinal match. The Bobcats took an early lead in the first half when Catelyn de Moor capitalized on a rebound from a Taylor McMillan shot. In the second half, McMillan set up de Moor for her second goal of the game, extending Celina's lead to 2-0. Life Waxahachie fought back with a goal from Kailee Armstrong off a free kick by Aria Nylund, but Celina's relentless offense proved too much. After adding a third goal, McMillan sealed the win with her second goal of the match, sending the Celina Bobcats back to the state championship game.
