A hobbled Jase McClellan still ran for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns and offensive MVP Jake Bishop led Aledo to their 9th state championship. That's a Texas state record. They beat Fort Bend Marshall 45-42 in the 5A Division 2 state championship.
Gunter is back in the state title for the third time in 4 years and they win the 3A Division 2 state title over Paul Pewitt 43-22.
Grandview takes the 3A Division 1 title with a 42-35 win over Pottsboro.
Blum takes the 6 man Division 1 crown with the 58-52 win over McLean.
Ja Quinden Jackson dressed out but no way he was going to play with that torn ACL in the knee First quarter, North Shore quarterback Dematrious Davis on the keeper and he weaves his way into the end zone. That's his 53rd touchdown of the year and Mustangs led 7-0. Duncanville answers back when Roderick Daniels gets it on the sweep and thats a 25 yard touchdown to tie the score at 7 Down 10-7 in the 2nd quarter, Jackson's replacement, freshman and 14 year old Chris Parson, proves he can throw as he goes 34 yards to Marqualen Crowell for a huge first down. Later in the drive, no pressure on Parson in the pocket so he's gone. That's a 6 yard touchdown and Panthers up 14-10, North Shore would end up winning 31-17.
