January 15, 2020
Getting good grades and starting at point guard for Arlington Martin is only part of what makes Daveyon Taylor a special person. Our North Texas Honda Dealers Inside Story finds out how Taylor has more on his plate then most teen agers, but finds a way to get through it with a smile.

If there ever was a young man you’d like to meet, it’s Arlington Martin point guard, Daveyon Taylor. It’s an off day for the Warriors, but Taylor is still in the gym, getting his work in with a smile, absorbing anything that has to do with the game he loves like a sponge and getting ready for his future occupation. Taylor already makes his teammates much better with his style of play. His upbeat demeanor is infectious even when times are rough willie wright is Daveyon’s grandmother….and best friend. She was given 5 years to live… and even though he was only in the 8th grade, Daveyon made a very grown up decision. He moved out of his mom’s house and in with his grandmother. The last 5 years, Daveyon has lived and cared for his grandmother, while maintaining a 3.4 g-p-a and starting for the warriors. At home, he does everything from fixing meals to making sure her medicine is right. As you’d expect, there are ups and downs, but Daveyon tackles each day with a smile. Willie is 2 years past that original 5 year diagnosis and is doing well with Daveyon by her side. And as far as the Warriors go, every practice….every game….there is Daveyon….with that contagious energy
