Richland Rebels vs. Keller Indians - 2013 Basketball - Week 6

02/09/13

A great atmosphere Tuesday night over at Richland where the Rebels were at home looking to avenge an earlier loss to Keller and more importantly move into the driver's seat for the district championship. Early on though it was Keller taking control, here freshman sensation Nolan Taylor is off the mark but Kyle Tanner sneaks in for the rebound and the outback for 2 of his 8 points on the night. Richland would struggle to get points in transition all night but they finally get some here as Tim Priller gets the rebound and launches a pass to Malik Mayfield, he gets it ahead to Alex Pugh who finds Leyton Hammonds for the two-hand flush. Hammonds finishes with a game high 22 on the night. Later the Rebels would do more damage in transition as Pugh gets another assist, this time to Hayden Hunter who knocks down a three from the baseline. But Keller led this one from start to finish, thanks in large part to Mike O-Paul-Skee. He finishes with a team-high 17 points and Keller wraps up the 4-5A district title with a 52-47 win over Richland.
