Big time battle for 2nd place in District 3-5A as Arlington Bowie took on Arlington Martin. We pick this one up in the 4th, Warriors guard Andrew Dotson hits the mid range jumper to get Martin to within 2 points. But the Volunteers would stretch their lead...David Chavlovich dribbles around until he gets in the paint for the jumper and foul. Bowie up 48-43. Then, with 2 and a half left, Kevin Hervey hits the clutch 3 ball. Bowie up 8 and it looks to be over....but not quite yet folks. Martin's Kordell Elits steps into the passing lane for the steal and basket to cut the lead to 6. Then with 50 seconds left, Dotson drains the trifecta to cut it to 3 and we got ourselves a ballgame. After the Volunteers miss some free throws, Nick Babb, with 23 seconds remaining, takes it into the paint, hits the layup and suddenly it's only 53-52 Bowie Now, with 1.9 seconds left, Martin is inbounding under their own basket, but Elits throws it away, Jeremy Senglin comes up with it and absolutely posterizes Patrick Burke.....wow!!!! What an unbelievable finish. Of course the basket doesn't count, but still....that was something else. Bowie beats Martin 54-52.
