Plano East vs Round Rock Stony Point - 2023 Week 30 Game of the Week

Had to be a big game as former NBA star, Tracy McGrady was on hand to take this game in. And what he saw was a red hot D J Hall to start the game. Panthers get it into him for the flip basket. Later in the quarter, Hall left un-guarded beyond the arc and the big man has range....drops this 3 pointer. Hall scored the first 9 Panther points. If it wasn't Hall, it was Rachard Angton on the run...watch him use the rim to keep his defender from blocking the shot. Angton scored 13 points and Plano East led 29-24 at halftime. Second half, if it's not broke don't fix it...more Hall in the paint with the kind bounce. The junior scored 18 points on his way to a MVP award. Defensively, the Panthers were opportunistic. Isaiah Brewington takes advantage of the Tiger player falling down and leads the break to Ethan Moss for the lay up. Then Narit Chotikavanic (Na-rit Show-tee-kav-a-nik) gets the steal and basket to help Plano East win this weeks defensive title belt. Not only that....the drought is over. The Panthers win their first ever state title in any sport with a 53-41 win over Stony Point. It caps off a magical 40-0 season.
