Mansfield Summit Jaguars Goodwill Visit - 2013

The Summit cheer squad actually showed up at one of Goodwill's vocational training schools called the North Texas Institute. There, they learned the basics in cabling and wiring buildings for phone systems. The North Texas Institute finds occupational niches and develops training programs to teach unemployed individuals a craft and then find them employment. At this branch, the girls learned how to do crimp wires for phone jacks and some basic Phone Cabling 101. It was an eye opening experience for the Summit cheer corps. The girls now feel they can repair phones in their own house....well...maybe not quite yet, but they are getting there.
