The Benbrook Bobcats on the road at Dunbar as these 2 opened up district play and it was Benbrook dominating the opening possession of the game with a methodical attack - this was the only pass - from Major Youngblood to Jayden Montavio. Good enough for a first down and it sets up this 1 yard plunge from Harry Gonzalez and for a 7-0 Bobcat Lead.
Dunbar counters with Jerrod Braziel...he finds his way into the endzone, but its 7-6 after the missed extra point, both offenses struggled for much of the 2nd quarter as the defenses each forced a turnover.
Just before the half, Benbrook finishes off another clock-eating drive with Youngblood calling one of my favorite red zone plays - the throwback to the tight end, Jackson Littlepage is able to walk in untouched and Benbrook grinds out a 23-12 win over Dunbar.
