Allen Eagles Volleyball Tops Frisco Lone Star Behind Ogbogu & Team Depth

Ranked 8th in the nation, the Allen Eagles volleyball program has built a reputation for depth — and a three-set win over Frisco Lone Star was a reminder of exactly that.

Maya Ogbogu, the No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2028, came off the bench to start the match, opening the door for teammates to carry the load early. Gaby Wenger answered with a big kill as Allen cruised through the first set 25-13.

Lone Star refused to fold in the second set. Bailey Shelvin sparked a Rangers run, and Lyla Crowder's kill helped Frisco Lone Star take the set 25-16, forcing a decisive third.

That's when Ogbogu made her presence felt, delivering a kill that helped Allen begin to pull away. Sayge Chandler — daughter of former NBA big man Tyson Chandler — added a power play of her own as the Eagles closed out the third set 25-15.

The win earns Allen the Texas Oncology Team of the Week.
