About RL Turner
RL Turner High School in Carrollton opened in 1903 and plays its home games at Tommy Standridge Stadium. The Lions compete in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD and have sent players like Jonathan Jones to the NFL. The school's stadium, originally called Lions Stadium, opened in 1964 with 12,000 seats filled to capacity for the first game against Garland.
