Woodrow Wilson Wildcats vs. South Oak Cliff Bears - 2013 Basketball - Week 8

02/23/13

UMass bound Zach Coleman took the court at Ellis Davis Fieldhouse as his Woodrow Wilson Wildcats took on a battle tested South Oak Cliff squad. This game had a plethora of great passing in it. If you don't believe me, here you go. SOC's David Myers goes in on 3 defenders and drops the dime for McKendrick McKenzie for the bucket. Not good enough? How about this one. Wilson's Trey Washington with the slight of hand pass to Coleman for 2 more points. Still not impressed? Ok, how about this. Mister Dawson drives the lane and then the look away pass to Kenneth Arthur for the basket. More? All right, obviously the flashy passes aren't what you like. How about great ball movement. On the break, Coleman to Washington back to Coleman with the touch pass to Hassan Thomas for the flush. If those passes don't impress you then I give up. As for the rest of the game, it was close throughout. Myers goes behind the back with the dribble and then uses the pump fake to free up his jumper. 12 points for him and SOC was down 32-29 at the break. Chance Houston hits the 3 pointer to get his point total to 16 points. Wilson extended their lead to 4 after 3 quarters. Coleman led all scorers with 17 points. Washington finds him in the lane for the one handed dunk. Woodrow Wilson celebrates as they hold off South Oak Cliff 65-59 to advance.
