Rockwall taking on Waxahachie in a 6A Division 1 area round game
And what a day for Rockwall's running back, Ashten Emery. He starts off the day with a 6 yard touchdown on the direct start, but that was merely the beginning.
Quite possibly the most under recruited back in all of North Texas, Emery ran for 270 yards and 4 scores including this 21 yard run in the 2nd quarter but the Jackets still trailed 15-13.
That's because Waxahachie's Ramon McKinney Junior was having a day too. Check out this picture perfect pass to Jayden Watson for 54 yards into the red zone.
McKinney would finish that drive off with one of his 4 rushing touchdowns. This one from 9 yards as the o-line does a great job of sealing off the edge. The Indians led 22-13.
But Rockwall would score late 2nd quarter, Mason Marshall throws the quick pass to Triston Gooch and then the Gooch is on the loose....17 yards to the house. Rockwall would kick a late field goal to win 46-43 and they will face Spring Westfield next Saturday.
