Wall Ends Gunter's Reign in Thrilling 3A Semifinal Clash!

Wall quarterback Landon York connected on his 56th touchdown pass of the season as the Hawks stunned three-time defending champion Gunter 28-25 in the 3A Division 1 state semifinal at Stephenville.

Gunter, playing with freshman Tristan Barton at quarterback, fought back but came up short when Wall's defense delivered the decisive blow. A sack-fumble recovered in the end zone for a touchdown in the final minute sealed the upset and ended Gunter's hopes of a fourth consecutive state title. The victory also served as revenge for Wall, who had fallen to Gunter in a previous playoff meeting.
