Trystan Shaw 253 Yards, 4 TDs | Timberview Stays Perfect at 8-0 with 45-28 Win Over Ennis
Eight games in, Mansfield Timberview still hasn't lost. The Wolves moved to 8-0 with a 45-28 victory over Ennis, a Lions squad that had won four straight heading into the matchup.
It took Timberview exactly one play to get on the board. Quarterback Stephen Hall connected with Trystan Shaw on a deep ball, and though Shaw briefly lost control of the catch, officials ruled he was never down — he recovered the ball in the end zone for the opening score.
Ennis answered through the air as well, with Elijah LeBlanc finding Jayton Williams on a 13-yard hookup to give the Lions a 7-6 lead. But the second quarter belonged to Timberview. Hall hit Shaw on a slant, and Shaw did the rest — 70 yards untouched to the end zone. Timberview led 26-15 at halftime.
LeBlanc kept Ennis in it early in the third quarter with a jump pass to a wide-open Williams, cutting the deficit to five. Hall responded by going right back to the same slant route. If it ain't broke, don't fix it — Shaw finished the night with 253 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns.
Hall capped the performance by hitting Dalyn Hill on a flanker screen, with Hill turning it into a big gain. Hall's final line: 388 passing yards and 6 touchdown throws. The final score was 45-28, and Timberview's perfect season rolls on.
