Title Belt Winner - Birdville Boys Basketball

Birdville will be our title belt winner this week, i have added a mention of it at the end bolded below.

A battle for the top spot in 6-5A between Birdville and Richland, these crosstown rivals never disappoint....

After falling behind 9-2 to start the game, Birdville gets the offense going as Chase Henderson races out for the layup and they take a 1 point lead at the end of the 1st quarter.

Neither team able to build much of a lead. In the 4th quarter, Richland trailing by 4 when CJ Nelson finds Jalen Nettles cutting to the basket to cut it to 2.

Moments later still trailing by 2 Jordan Grandberry drives and dishes to Nettles, he knocks down the corner 3 to give Richland a 1 point lead.

It comes down to the final 6 seconds, Birdville trailing by 1 - on the inbounds they get it to Daniel Sykes, he drives baseline and the fallaway jumper is good! Birdville pulls out a 54-53 win.

For holding that high-powered Richland offense to one of the lowest point totals of the season, Birdville earns this week's title belt!
