Timberview came in as the team trying to end a two-game skid against Denton Ryan. They left with their biggest win in over a decade.
The T-Wolves struck first on a turnover, converting a first-play interception into six points. Quarterback Steve Hall — who threw six touchdown passes the previous week — then connected with Tulsa commit Tristyn Shaw on a deep ball just before halftime to extend the lead to 14-6 heading into the break.
Denton Ryan answered. Oregon State commit Juan Garcia-Okoi picked off a pass in the second quarter to swing momentum, and running back R'Mani Benjamin ripped off a 79-yard run to set up a score. A two-point conversion tied the game at 14.
But Timberview wouldn't let it slip away. Hall and Shaw connected again in the third quarter — Shaw finished with 220 yards receiving — and the T-Wolves built enough of a cushion to survive a late push, holding on for a 35-30 final.
The win snapped Denton Ryan's two-year dominance of the matchup and announced Timberview as a program on the rise heading deeper into the UIL season.
