Huge battle atop 9-5A as The Colony visited Frisco Lone Star with first place on the line.
First half, check out the beautiful pass from Josh Weems to Amaru Martin underneath. Martin scores and Lone Star took a 32-24 lead into the break.
Third quarter, the Cougars on the run and no one is guarding Xavier Green who lines up the feet and knocks down the 3 pointer. Green led The Colony with 15 points.
Late 3rd, however, the tide started turning towards Lone Star. Jalen Scott left open in the corner and thats a trifecta. Rangers up 48-38 after 3.
Then sophomore sensation Trent Perry took over in the 4th. Perry scored 15 of his 17 in the second half. Here he takes his man off the dribble for a bucket.
Then, on defense, Perry corrals the loose ball and takes off....goes behind the back along the way and then electrifies the crowd with the one handed stuff. We'll have more on Trent in our Next Level segment, but as for this game, he helped Lone Star with the 68-46 win and the Rangers are alone atop the standings.
