TJ Cline Makes His Way Home From Israel

Plano West graduate TJ Cline has had quite a basketball journey. After he graduated at West, Cline played a year at Niagara before transferring to the University of Richmond where he was the Atlantic 10 Player of the year in 2017. Since then, Cline’s basketball career has taken him overseas to places like Italy, Turkey and, most recently, Israel. His season with Eliat (E-LOT) was supposed to start a week ago, but with the Hamas (Huh-MAS) attacks, that was put on hold. Although Eliat, which borders Jordan and Egypt, was relatively safe, Cline and other Americans playing over there were being extra careful when we spoke with him last weekend. Cline, who is Jewish, will always see Israel as his second home. His 6 years playing basketball in the region has helped him gain a great appreciation to the people he’s spent a majority of his professional career around.
