Two of the top teams from district 9-6A met when Sachse played Garland.
The Owls scored first, on a run from DE'ADRIAN HARDY, showing a combination of finesse and power on this 7-yard run. Garland had a surprising 7-0 lead.
Sachse punting in the second quarter with the wind in their face. The punt goes straight up and the wind pushes it back, it takes a Garland bounce, and then TERRENCE GREENE makes a heads up play to scoop up the ball and score -- 33 yards on that touchdown, and it was 17-0!
Sachse finally got going just before the half. This drive started at their own 5-yard line, but by the time ROBBIE ROTHROCK was done running, the Mustangs were at the Garland 30.
A few plays later, BRENDEN GEORGE scored the first of his four rushing touchdowns. Sachse outscores Garland 50-7 in the 2nd half to win, 57-24.
