Mesquite was down 9 in the 4th when LYRIC GLEEN's steal led to a basket by KAYLONI SMOLLEY to cut the lead to 7.
But Royse City took the first and only double-digit lead of the game on this layup by freshman ALIVIA WANTON. (51-40)
The Skeeters responded with a 9-0 run, and when MC-KAYLA MAYES scored off the steal - it was a 2-point game (51-49 RC).
Under 2 minutes to go, and the lady Bulldogs block a 3-pointer that would have cut the lead to 1. Royse City wins 61-56.
